Role Description

Our Product/IP team is quickly growing thanks to our success in the market, we are proud to be launching a brand-new product for Financial Planning / Financial Wellness. This will be a new product, based on the acquisition of a client solution. This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on Tech Lead to drive the technical transformation of a product, turning the solution into a marketable SaaS product, and taking the new offering to market. - A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience as a Software Developer (exposure to front-end and back-end frameworks) leveraging modern languages, RESTFul API development and frameworks such as Java, React, and/or Angular
- Experience with tools/frameworks in development life cycle including:

- Databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQLServer, and/or MySQL. NoSQL experience with MongoDB, Cassandra preferred.
- Good understanding of containers and container platforms such as OpenShift, Kubernetes
- Source control ( GIT, CVS, Subversion, etc.)
- Build scripts ( Ant, Maven, etc.)
- Development of unit tests ( JUnit, TDD, etc.)
- CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins/Bamboo etc.)
- Must have: 7 to 10 years of Java with Spring and 2 to 3 years of React JS
- Exposure to Databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, SQLServer, and/or MySQL
- Containers and container platforms such as OpenShift, Kubernetes
- Nice to have: MangoDB, Jasper Report, JIRA/Confluence, Application deployment automation using Jenkins, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and/or Azure DevOps
- Experience with RESTFul API development, management and integration
- You have strong verbal & written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to work with our business and technical partners as well as internal team members.
- Passionate about technology as well as developing and coaching to bring out the best in people. You have led diverse, high performing teams.
- You understand that success is in the details. You notice things that others don't. Your critical thinking skills help to inform your decision making
- Ability to rapidly develop expertise in emerging technologies through hands on, real-time - on the fly exposure and involvement
- Excellent understanding of key concepts of architecture in a distributed environment (SOA, etc.)
- Perform code and design reviews, provide technical problem solving / technical analysis skills to the team though coaching and mentoring activities
- Act as a resource for software developers on policies, procedures, design concepts and technical issues
- Deep experience in AGILE development, SCRUM or SAFe
- Experienced working with Cloud, GCP preferred.
