**Responsibilities**:

- Assess and analyze the organic agriculture/horticulture trade situation in Meghalaya.
- Provide expert guidance and consultation on organic farming practices tailored to Meghalaya's agricultural landscape.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the horticulture value chain in Meghalaya, focusing on organic principles.
- Collaborate with local farmers, cooperatives, and agricultural organizations to promote organic farming initiatives.
- Conduct training programs and workshops on Organic Farming Philosophies and Practices (PoPs) for farmers, extension workers, and other stakeholders.
- Support the integration of organic farming principles into existing agricultural practices in Meghalaya.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of organic farming interventions, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Stay updated on emerging trends, research, and technologies in organic agriculture, and disseminate relevant information to stakeholders.
- Advise on crop selection, soil management, pest and disease control, and other aspects of organic farming.
- Foster partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, research institutions, and private sector entities to advance organic agriculture in Meghalaya.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and programs to support organic farming and sustainable agriculture practices in the region.
- Represent the organization in relevant forums, conferences, and meetings related to organic farming and horticulture in Meghalaya.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture (BSc. Agriculture)
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in organic agriculture/horticulture trade
- Highly preferred familiarity with the current organic agricultural trade situation and horticulture value chain in Meghalaya

**Salary**: ₹70,000.00 - ₹85,000.00 per month
