Qc Microbiologist

Job Summary:
The QC Microbiologist is responsible for performing microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure they meet the required standards and specifications. This role involves maintaining and operating laboratory equipment, preparing microbiological media, and documenting test results accurately. The QC Microbiologist will also be involved in environmental monitoring and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Microbiological Testing**:

- Perform microbiological tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Conduct sterility testing, microbial limit testing, and endotoxin testing.
- Perform identification of microbial isolates and enumeration of microbial populations.
- **Environmental Monitoring**:

- Conduct environmental monitoring of cleanrooms and controlled environments.
- Collect and analyze air, surface, and water samples to ensure they meet environmental standards.
- Maintain records of environmental monitoring data and report any deviations.
- **Laboratory Operations**:

- Prepare and maintain microbiological media, reagents, and laboratory supplies.
- Calibrate, operate, and maintain laboratory equipment such as autoclaves, incubators, and microscopes.
- Ensure proper disposal of biohazardous waste in accordance with safety regulations.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Accurately record and document test results, observations, and deviations.
- Prepare detailed reports of microbiological findings and communicate results to relevant departments.
- Maintain and update laboratory records and databases.
