Project: Mace is providing PMC Services for a station redevelopment project in Ahmedabad.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Defining the requirements and scope of specific packages of design work and ensuring closure of requirements through to commissioning and handover.
- Championing safe by design with the design supply chain, to maximise the opportunity to improve the HS&W of all those engaged in and impacted by the project.
- Operating within the processes and procedures of the civils programme.
- Interfacing with all internal civil programme functions to ensure project and statutory requirements are understood and implemented and recognised in the design.
- Ensuring that third-party requirements and approvals required during the design stage are discharged appropriately.
- Engaging with other civil programme functions including commercial, procurement, project controls, construction delivery, HS&W etc. to ensure that technical issues are suitably understood and recognized.
- Holding regular collaborative meetings with the designers and wider teams to review and share problems/issues, promote innovative thinking, capture lessons learnt / best practices, provide technical support and ensure consistency of design.
- Challenging the designer’s proposals with a view to de-risking technical solutions, promoting and facilitating the emergence of value engineering solutions, leading to reductions of quantities, costs and optimisation of the construction programme.
- Coordinating the inputs and interfaces of the technical assurance team to ensure a verified, validated and configured design.

About you

You have a degree qualification in Architecture and be a member of a professional body. You have experience as an architect with similar project experience.

You are digitally savvy and can build lasting client relationships and provide support to strong, motivated teams. You have previous working experience on construction projects and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
