**Role Purpose**

**The Opportunity**:
Part of the newly setup trading support team for HK:

- Specific responsibilities include:

- Pre Market open activities, such as books consistency checks pertaining to corporate actions, index composition, coupons on structured products etc
- PnL explanation
- Running risk scenarios
- Barriers monitoring
- Smoothing-parameters monitoring
- Future rolls, NDFs monitoring
- Rates exposure management
- Earnings preparation
- Checking booking consistencies post market close

**What you’ll do**:

**Impact on the Business/Function**
- Responsible for day to day risk management and controls while supporting HK trading desks
- Working with multiple stakeholders from MO and FO to ensure consistency in the booking process
- Working with sales and trading to resolve any inconsistencies and monitor limits

**Typical Targets and Measures**
- Managing reports and delivering analytics to maintain oversight on controls
- Quick turnaround for ad-hoc queries
- Resolution of issues with MO
- Positive feedback from the desk

**Customers / Stakeholders**
- Head of HK Trading
- Trading/Structuring team in Hong Kong and Bangalore
- Sales teams in HK
- Equities Management team
- Internal Collaboration - Develops close and effective working relationships within respective Functions /Businesses
- Ensures that customer propositions or business improvement programmers demonstrate clear, measurable, worthwhile benefits over the short, medium and long-term and identifies the full range of implications on the future success of the business
- Build a good relationship with the Global teams, to ensure communication lines are fluid.

**Leadership & Teamwork**
- Assisting other members of the trading support desk with issues
- Addressing queries from stakeholders
- Working with onshore trading desks and IT to develop tools and enhance infrastructure

- Effective collaboration and communication with the teams onshore and offshore

**Operational Effectiveness & Control**
- Develops the infrastructure and capabilities needed to enable operational effectiveness and the delivery of the desired results and ensures that decision making is delegated to the most appropriate people
- Lead the continuing development, implementation and improvement of the processes, structures, capabilities, capacity and infrastructure needed
- Establish and maintain a robust and efficient control environment across the team together with early identification and effective resolution or escalation of issues that arise

- Adequately manage various projects and initiatives leading to process or functionality improvement and reduction of operational risk

- The role holder will be taking complete ownership of BAU tasks and activities
- Should be able to liaise with MO and FO desks to resolve any issues pertaining to booking, risk limits or trading support activity
- Will work directly with onshore structuring desks and sales team for addressing any queries
- Liaise with trading and structuring to update enhance infrastructure for better controls
