**Title: Shop In Charge - Manufacturing Supervisor**

We are currently seeking a highly competent and experienced Shop In Charge to join our manufacturing team. As the Shop In Charge, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations in our manufacturing shop and ensuring its smooth functioning. You will report directly to the Plant Head and collaborate with the Section Leaders (Compounding and Cutting, Molding & Punching) to achieve production targets efficiently.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the shop's efficient functioning and adherence to production schedules to meet daily targets.
- Coordinate with Section Leaders to ensure seamless workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Implement and enforce quality control measures to maintain high product standards.
- Optimize raw material utilization to achieve a yield of over 99%.
- Minimize re-work and rejections, aiming for less than 1%.
- Oversee Grinding, Punching, and Drilling Operations to eliminate re-work at Assembly.
- Monitor and minimize line stoppages caused by manpower, materials, machines, or tools, ensuring they are less than 5% of Available time.
- Ensure regular maintenance of machines, with mínimal impact on production schedules.
- Efficiently manage tool change-over time, aiming for it to be within 5% of Available time.
- Implement and promote 1S, 2S, and 3S principles, with the objective of achieving a 3S score above 90%.
- Maintain meticulous machine-wise log-books and provide daily production reports, stoppage reports, and re-work/rejection data by 10.00 AM for previous night production and 6.00 PM for the last 24 hours.

**Scope of Work**:

- Take charge of the entire manufacturing shop, ensuring smooth operations from receipt of the production plan to the handover of finished products.
- Oversee activities in the Compounding Shed and SMC Shed.
- Uphold strict adherence to Quality systems & Procedures, including First Piece Approval before bulk production.
- Ensure the availability and proper maintenance of tools for molding operations.
- Provide training and skill development opportunities for operators to enhance their performance.
- Implement an hourly reporting system, visually monitoring production progress and cycle time at each machine.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance in charge to adhere to Planned Maintenance Schedules.

**Qualifications**:

- A Bachelor's degree in Production Engineering/Industrial Engineering from a reputed institute.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in leading manufacturing operations, including compression molding, fabrication of FRP products, and assembly.
- Proficiency in cost accounting and analysis for effective cost control.
- Strong logical reasoning, analytical skills, and a process-oriented approach.
- Excellent leadership and problem-solving abilities.
