**Job Description: Video Editor**

**Position Overview**:As a Video Editor, you will play a crucial role in crafting compelling visual narratives through the art of editing. You will work closely with creative teams, directors, and producers to transform raw footage into polished videos that effectively communicate the intended message. Your expertise in editing software, storytelling techniques, and visual aesthetics will be essential in delivering high-quality video content across various platforms.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Editing and Post-Production**:Edit raw footage into cohesive and engaging video content while maintaining the desired tone, pacing, and style.
Manipulate and enhance video and audio elements, such as color correction, sound design, and visual effects, to achieve the desired cinematic effect.
Organize and manage media assets efficiently, including file naming, labeling, and archiving.

**Collaboration**:Collaborate with creative teams, producers, and directors to understand project goals, objectives, and creative direction.
Provide creative input and suggest innovative ideas to enhance the overall storytelling and visual appeal of the videos.

**Storytelling**:Analyze scripts, storyboards, and shot lists to determine the most effective way to convey the narrative through editing.
Make decisions on shot selection, sequencing, and timing to ensure a cohesive and impactful final product.

**Technical Proficiency**:Proficiently use video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) to edit and manipulate video footage.
Implement visual effects, motion graphics, and animations when necessary to enhance the visual storytelling.

**Quality Control**:Ensure the final video products meet quality standards, technical specifications, and project requirements.
Review and incorporate feedback from team members and clients, making necessary revisions as needed.

**Adaptability**:Stay updated with industry trends, new editing techniques, and emerging technologies to continuously improve skills and stay innovative.
Adapt to changes in project scope, timelines, and creative direction while maintaining a high level of creativity and professionalism.

**Project Management**:Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality edited videos.

**Qualifications**:

- A bachelor's degree in Film Production, Video Editing, Media Studies, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a video editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing your editing skills and creativity.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling, composition, and cinematic techniques.
- Familiarity with color correction, audio editing, and sound design principles.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within creative teams.
- Attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

**Preferred Additional Skills**:

- Experience with motion graphics and animation software (e.g., Adobe After Effects).
- Basic knowledge of sound editing and mixing.
- Understanding of different video formats, codecs, and compression techniques for various platforms.
- Experience in editing content for different platforms such as social media, websites, and streaming services.

**Salary**: ₹15,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Mumbai, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Bachelor's (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Video Editing: 1 year (preferred)
