**Title: Chief Operations Officer (C00)**
**Reports To: Managing Director**

**1) Key roles and responsibilities**

1)Drive business expansion for the organization in Mumbai

2)Develop and Implement the strategy for entry into the other key cities in the country

3) Lead the key functions of Purchase, Logistics, Projects, Maintenance and Business Expansion

4) Manage a seamless back end operations so as to enable the front end team to deliver a great experience to our customers

5) Drive down cost of operations to improve profitability of the business

6) Overall manage the real estate portfolio of the organisation - offices/training centres/outlets - agreement signing/renewals/licenses

7) Manage the liasioning team to ensure no disruption in business

**2) Working Relationships**:

- Reports to whom?
- Supervises whom?
- Peer Relationships
- Reporting to Managing Director
- Reportees: 6-7 - Purchase manager/Maintenance mgr/Business Development Manager/Projects Co-ordinator/Liasioning officer/Interior Designer
- Working closely with all department heads especially the Head - Retail Operations

4) **Day to Day work**
- Developing the strategy to expand the business in Mumbai through outlet expansion
- Competitive benchmarking of other key QSR’s
- Segmentation of the key channels and developing the right format for each channel
- Developing the P&L for each format/channel
- Developing right alliances/partnerships to open shop in shop format
- Developing the annual plan for the outlet expansion - mthly/qtrly outlet opening plan by channel and format
- Developing the entry strategy and marketing plans for the new markets in india
- Developing the strategy to attract and convert franchisees to grow our business in Mumbai
- Understand the franchisee models followed by other brands
- Put down the organization franchisee model
- Lead acquisition and conversion of franchisees on a mthly/qtrly basis
- Build a good vendor base for all our key commodities, equipment and branding requirements to optimize cost
- Implement the 3 vendor ploicy
- Assess current vendor base and identify new vendor base
- Put down the buying strategy for top 8 commodities
- Developing and finalizing key specs for each commodity in consultation with the food development team
- Developing alternate suppliers/formats to bring down costs
- Develop the preventive maintenance strategy and plans to reduce business downtime
- Ensure TAT’s in place for key breakdown items
- Build right team to minimize business downtime
- Develop and manage the logistics plans to ensure great daily operations
- Developing the qtrly/annual plan and budgets for new outlet opening
- Identifying the right locations and channels to open stores
- Lead the cross functional team to optimise CAPEX and OPEX spends for new outlets by different format
- Manage Key Relationships
- Build strong relationship and foster teamwork among cross functional teams, suppliers and extended team to achieve maximum performance
- Build the right connections with the external key opinion formers to create competitive advantage for the business

5) **Location**
- Based out of Mumbai HO
- Travel 3-4 days every week within Mumbai city/outside

6) **Preferred Education & Experience**
- Education: MBA/graduate
- Work experience: Minimum 10-15 Yrs of retail experience
- Prior operations experience is desirable

**Salary**: ₹2,000,000.00 - ₹2,500,000.00 per year
