Job Overview:
At Zelis, the NOC Engineer plays a crucial role in monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining the organization's computer networks. They are responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of network systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor network performance and ensure the availability of all network components.
- Respond to alerts and incidents in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Identify and resolve network issues, both proactively and reactively.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems.
- Document and track incidents, ensuring that they are resolved within established service level agreements (SLAs).
- Communicate effectively with end-users and stakeholders during incident resolution.
- Monitor network security systems to detect and respond to security incidents.
- Implement security measures to safeguard the network infrastructure.
- Manage and maintain network configurations.
- Implement changes and updates to network devices as needed.
- Identify opportunities for improving network performance and efficiency.
- Work on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall network reliability.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Collaborate with other IT teams, vendors, and service providers to address network-related issues and implement changes.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for network-related incidents.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 Yeas relevant experience in NOC
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or CompTIA Network+.
- Proven experience in network administration and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of network protocols, security principles, and best practices.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools.
