Lab Administrator

We are looking for a Lab Administrator to join our Support team in Trivandrum, India, reporting to the director of Technical Support Systems. In this role, you will build and maintain the worldwide support lab and be in charge of its day-to-day functions. **What you’ll do**:

- Build and maintain physical, virtual (VMWare), and cloud-based (AWS, Azure, GCP, vCloud) lab facilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations, such as access management, configuration changes, and incident management
- Manage inventory, capacity, lab contingency planning, and security
- Collaborate cross-functionally to gather requirements and participate in related projects
- Translate user requirements into functional and technical requirements, and make recommendations and long range planning
- Create automation for repetitive lab tasks
- Design lab onboarding and usage documentations and training
- Provide support for lab infrastructure related issues

**What you’ll bring**:

- Minimum 3 years, ideally 5 years of relevant job experience
- Experience with system administration, as well as hardware and software troubleshooting experience
- Solid knowledge of TCP/IP and networking protocols
- Excellent understanding of Microsoft and Linux OS, virtualization (VMware), and Cloud computing
- Excellent scripting knowledge in Python/Perl
- Ability to multi-task in a high-pressure, fast-paced, rapid growth environment
- Willingness to work in a hybrid work environment and travel to Trivandrum as needed
- Hands-on, problem solving mindset, with the ability to work with little or no supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred

**What success looks like**:
After six months, you will
- Understand and document worldwide support lab infrastructure
- Collaborate cross-functionally to gather requirements for lab infrastructure
- Plan next steps based on the requirements gathered

After about a year, you will
- Convert requirements to deliverables
- Be responsible for day to day management of the lab infrastructure
