**Your Role and Responsibilities**

**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
- Experience of 4+ Years in System administration, N/W administration, Systems Integration, maintaining of infrastructure as code, Cloud infrastructure, network, security and operation architecture
- Experience with **IX scripting (bash/zsh, awk, sed, tcl/tck), using Linux/**IX as a day-to-day Dev/Operational platform.
- OS version control/upgrade, and patch test and maintenance, along with middleware version control/upgrade, and patch test and maintenance
- Mandatory experience with UNIX, and exposure to working on Forests/Federated domain experience would be preferred
- Knowledge of System backup technologies and experience with monitoring of System performance, with occasional tuning
- Maintaining compliant posture in adherence with IBM standards and practices.
- Interfacing with associated compliance tools and providing proof of execution documentation, where applicable.
- Performing required scanning, health-checking, and logging, where required

**Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise**
You should be comfortable with the **IX/Linux console & Networking, as a day to day working environment as well have familiarity with System and Network administration/monitoring & maintenance of both legacy and hybrid infrastructures, keeping scalability, performance, reliability and robustness in mind. Your experience to analyse, debug, design and manage persistent and intermittent issues across various Systems and M/W (primarily App Servers, Web Servers, CA & AD-DC-LDAP & EAI) will be the backbone of our infrastructure team, whose primary job is to ensure that “Business as Usual” is maintained, and SLA compliances are adhered to, at all costs.

As an Engineer, your technical skills should be complemented by exceptional communication skills, translating technical requirements in well-established S/W Engg. ways for all to understand as well as be knowledgeable about the latest industry trends. You would be expected to provide technical leadership qualities that would help enforce all necessary stability/health checks, customisation of scripts (bash/awk/sed/tcl/Perl), defect/outage analysis, patching, and metrics collection to help predict/identify software failures, or, performance degradation.
