**Job Summary**:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the proper functioning of equipment, systems, and infrastructure within the facility. The technician will perform both scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and reactive repairs across a variety of systems, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and other facility systems. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team to minimize downtime and ensure a safe, productive environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Preventive Maintenance (PM)**:

- Perform routine checks and inspections on equipment and systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical, machinery).
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules to ensure equipment longevity and reduce the risk of breakdowns.
- Maintain and monitor records of completed PM tasks.
- **Troubleshooting and Repairs**:

- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC system issues.
- Repair or replace defective components or equipment in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Test repaired systems to ensure proper functionality.
- **System Installation and Modifications**:

- Assist with the installation, modification, or upgrade of new equipment, machinery, or systems as needed.
- Provide recommendations on system improvements or replacements based on performance observations.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure that repairs and installations comply with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and local codes.
- Regularly inspect facilities for potential safety hazards and take immediate action to rectify them.
- **Inventory and Supplies Management**:

- Maintain and manage the inventory of maintenance supplies and tools.
- Order parts and materials as needed and ensure they are stocked and organized for future use.
- Keep track of part usage and assist in identifying trends or recurring issues that might require process or equipment changes.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Accurately complete and maintain logs of maintenance work, including work orders, inspections, repairs, and equipment history.
- Prepare and submit reports on completed tasks, repairs, and any ongoing issues.
- Provide feedback to management on maintenance trends, recurring problems, and improvement opportunities.
- **Collaboration and Teamwork**:

- Work with other maintenance team members, operators, or department staff to coordinate maintenance schedules and activities.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments regarding equipment performance, facility conditions, or any operational concerns.
- Assist with training or mentoring junior maintenance staff as required.
- **Emergency Response**:

- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and system failures to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Work under pressure to restore functionality quickly and safely in emergency situations.
- **Other Duties**:

- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Facilities Manager.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safe and efficient maintenance operations.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- **Technical Skills**: Proficient in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- **Problem-Solving**: Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze issues and implement effective solutions.
- **Attention to Detail**: Ability to perform thorough inspections and accurate documentation of tasks and issues.
- **Safety Awareness**: Knowledge of workplace safety practices and adherence to safety regulations.
- **Communication**: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear instructions and updates.
- **Time Management**: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- **Adaptability**: Flexibility to handle changing work environments, multiple priorities, and unplanned issues.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent (required). Vocational training or an associate degree in a technical field (preferred).
- **Certifications**: Relevant certifications in maintenance, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or other specialized trades (e.g., EPA, OSHA certifications).
- **Experience**: At least [2-5] years of experience in a maintenance or repair role, preferably in an industrial, commercial, or facilities management environment.
- **Knowledge of Building Systems**: Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS), energy management systems, and smart building technology
