Nursing Tutor

The responsibilities include teaching a requisite number of classes, providing guidance and supervision to graduate students, participating in departmental meetings, and providing academic support to Professors and other faculty members. You should be able to pace your lessons and publish articles regularly.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Shall Prepare and facilitate course plan and teaching /learning activities for undergraduate and postgraduate nursing students according to the core values of the curriculum.
- Shall develop a professional and contemporary teaching-learning environment in the assigned classroom, laboratory, the field of community, and in different specialized/super-specialized clinical areas of parental/affiliated /other health care institutions concerned
- Set the classroom and laboratories by modeling appropriate workplace skills/learning behavior. Maintain a positive environment for learning by performing good classroom management and being aware of, monitoring, and enforcing the Student Code of Conduct.
- Shall accomplish the needs of nursing students in theoretical, clinical, and Simulated teaching by incorporating different contemporary and innovative teaching methods and its periodical assessments according to the laid norms by apex body/university, etc.,
- Shall maintain student's cumulative records/ reports/anecdotes relevant to curricular-co curricular and extracurricular documentation and Submit grades within the expected timeframe. Provide timely verbal and written feedback to the students, students' parents, and different stakeholders of the institution to ensure continued growth and development.
- Participate in the development, implementation, evaluation, and updating of prescribed curriculum from time to time.
- Shall perform clinical supervision related to duties irrespective of specialties.
- Collaborate with College staff in admission procedures of students, assist in the placement of students through institutional placement cell, participate in supporting student and staff welfare activities, maintain relationships with alumni, and proactively promote the College and services offered.
- Work with internal customers, including student services staff, adjunct faculty, and other College staff, to provide consistent, effective teaching, and learning support for students. Support the College by staying current with internal and external changes and provide input by participating in College meetings and other activities.
- Build and maintain ongoing professional relationships with the community, health, and educational industry as well as with different clinical partners. Participate in external meetings and activities
- Actively participate in professional growth activities, through maintaining link /networking and sharing with and among faculty across the College, memberships, and professional organizations, accepting and incorporating guidance and support from peers and supervisors, staying up-to-date with technology trends, maintaining nursing professional contemporary core competence, staying current in the field and creating and maintaining a professional development plan. Assist in mentoring students and other full-time and part-time faculty
- Shall attend and participate in SLCM, LMS, SAP & other training sessions hosted by the organizational information center from time to time
- Shall maintain equipment/inventories and supplies for the classroom and labs, as necessary to support the assigned program area and future trends in the industry. Work with supervisor to identify alternative funding sources as needed.
- Shall perform the roles assigned by HOI pertaining to institutional accreditation/affiliation with professional apex body and university etc.,
- Shall update yourself professionally through active participation in CNE/EBNP/CNP/Webinars/Workshops/Conference. Update with modern approaches used in teaching-learning offline mode.
- Shall manage the roles to facilitate and liaison the planned educational activities with different preventive, promotive, curative, restorative, and rehabilitative health care organizations in relevance to the nursing discipline. Shall undertake research-led teaching and maintain a minimum of three high-quality original research publications appropriate to the nursing discipline and provide high-quality research supervision for PG students.
- Shall actively involve in different college standing committees and contribute to student support and welfare and take part in knowledge transfer activities wherever applicable and feasible.
- Shall actively participate in hosting important professional events on social media and other platforms
- Shall perform Other duties as assigned by HOD & HOI
