Release and Deployment Expert

500 is the number of associates that will be part of Lead Digital Core (LDC) spanning across all units and functions globally at Novartis Group
- Ensure up-front planning, scheduling, and successful deployment of SAP releases and upgrades across the S/4 Landscape in a controlled and systematic way so as to meet LDC Program Requirements and Service Levels whilst avoiding any interruptions to Day-to-Day Operations as well as on-going Program Delivery.- Ensures adherence to the LDC Release Management Process and Priorities, whilst making sure Novartis relevant SOPs are followed.
- Support release planning process (including scoping, assessment and, where needed, re-planning)
- Ensure timely & qualitative execution of ongoing and maintenance projects as per the pre-defined Release & Deployments Planning and monitor accordingly the progress. Coordinate all teams as well as project external stakeholders that are involved in a release with aim to follow and meet the release timelines
- Identify potential impacts on existing services and ensure they are mitigated accordingly. Support and contribute to preparation of release deployment plans including among others communication, training and knowledge transfer to user community and IT operations
- Coordinate and operationally lead all aspects of the deployment. Coordinate "Early Life Support" after deployment
- Support review and closure of release. Report release status in governance boards and to Svc. / Sol Assurance Manager. Represent release and deployment projects in CAB meetings
- Take accountability to ensure adherence with Security and Compliance policies and procedures within Release & Deployment scope

**Minimum requirements**
- Minimum 5 years of experience, with focus on Release Management and/or Project Management in SAP centric environments.
- Experience with SAP Solution Manager and very good understanding in particular of CharM and DMS.
- Experience of working in a GxP/SOX qualified environment
- Experience of working in cross-functional and global teams including off-shore
- Experience of leading technical projects:Global, Cross Technology, Tactical Delivery
- Handling of simultaneous high priority work packages where solutions are not predetermined and require know-how to solve
