As a Laboratory Assistant (Intern) at Cargo First, you will get the opportunity gain hands-on experience in laboratory research, data analysis, and project support under the guidance of experienced chemists. Join our dynamic team and contribute to innovative research projects in a collaborative environment.

**Job Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Assist in conducting laboratory experiments and research projects under the supervision of the lab in charge or the HOD.
- Analyse experimental data and interpret results using various analytical techniques and instruments as instructed by the Senior chemist.
- Conduct literature reviews to gather relevant information and stay updated with the latest advancements in the field of chemistry.
- Assist in maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring they are calibrated and functioning properly and update the same to the Quality manager or the Technical Manager.
- Participate in planning experimental procedures, including the selection of appropriate chemicals, reagents, and equipment as instructed by the senior chemist.
- Maintain accurate records of experimental procedures, observations, and results in laboratory notebooks or electronic databases and submit the updates to the Quality Manager.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while handling hazardous chemicals and operating laboratory equipment.
- Collaborate with the senior members and communicate effectively to contribute to the overall progress of results
- Identify and troubleshoot experimental issues or inconsistencies, proposing solutions or alternative approaches as needed.
- Actively engage in learning opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge in chemistry.
- Assist in quality control processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of experimental results.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards in all research activities.
- Contribute ideas for process improvement and optimization to enhance research efficiency and productivity.

**Qualifications**:

- M.Sc. in Chemistry (completed / pursuing).
- Strong theoretical knowledge and practical experience in analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, industrial chemistry and inorganic chemistry.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and instrumentation.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (mandatory).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in experimental work.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to laboratory protocols.
- Enthusiasm for learning and professional development in the field of chemistry.
