Claims Officer

Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of claims professionals, ensuring optimal performance and
adherence to best practices.
- Set performance goals, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback to the claims team.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and service excellence.
- Claims Handling and Processing:
- Oversee the end-to-end management of high-value and complex claims.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of claims, in line with policy terms and conditions.
- Review and approve large claims settlements, ensuring they are consistent with policy coverage and
client expectations.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (e.g., underwriters, brokers) and external stakeholders (e.g.,
insurers, legal teams) to resolve claims efficiently.
- Implement effective claims procedures to minimize delays and improve customer satisfaction.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, handling escalated claims inquiries and disputes.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing expert advice and support during the
claims process.
- Conduct regular claims review meetings with key clients to provide updates and address concerns.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure claims processes comply with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Stay updated on changes in insurance regulations, claims trends, and market practices.
- Mitigate risks by identifying potential issues and implementing corrective actions to safeguard the
company from liability.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze claims data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present regular claims performance reports to senior management.
- Provide insights on loss ratios, reserves, and claims settlements to support business decision-making.
- Negotiation and Settlement:
- Negotiate claims settlements with insurers, legal teams, and clients to achieve fair and optimal
outcomes.
- Handle complex negotiations involving multiple parties and high-value claims.
- Ensure timely settlement of claims to enhance client retention and satisfaction.
