Job responsibilities
- Planning of all activities of hot pepper breeding project: Translation of the set Breeding targets into an operational breeding plan.
- Preparation of all activities of a breeding project.
- Execution of the activities of a breeding project: Making the right plant and line selections on critical moments in the breeding cycle.
- Maintaince of detailed records throughout the breeding cycles.
- Decision-making to advance material to R2 and planning of trial productions and screening trials
- Handover of R3 material to Seed Production according the defined specifications and registration in the designated system
- Implemention of developed technology and traits in the breeding program.
- Functionally coaching less experienced Breeders and Assistant Breeders
- Be creative and innovative in developing new ideas and solutions by exploring latest scientific knowledge and technologies in hot pepper breeding.
- Must have a demonstrated industrial experience of over 12 years in hot pepper breeding.

- Sufficient market knowledge about hot pepper traits and USP’s.
