**Key Responsibilities**
- **Diagnosis and Treatment**:
- Diagnose diseases, injuries, and conditions affecting animals by examining them, conducting laboratory tests, and interpreting medical histories.
- Prescribe medications, provide treatments, and advise on therapeutic procedures.
- Perform surgeries such as spaying, neutering, orthopedic surgeries, and other complex operations when necessary.
- **Preventive Care**:
- Administer vaccines to prevent the spread of diseases.
- Conduct health check-ups and provide recommendations on nutrition, hygiene, and lifestyle for pets and livestock.
- **Animal Care**:
- Monitor the health of animals under care, ensuring that animals are well cared for and receive adequate nutrition and attention.
- Provide emergency care when required.
- **Client Interaction and Education**:
- Communicate with pet owners or animal caretakers about treatment options, animal health concerns, and preventive care.
- Offer advice on the care and management of animals, including behavior, nutrition, and general well-being.
- **Medical Records Management**:
- Maintain detailed medical records for every animal treated, documenting diagnoses, treatments, and outcomes.
- Update and manage records electronically or manually as per clinic or hospital protocols.
- **Research and Continuing Education**:
- Keep up to date with new treatments, diseases, and medical technologies through research and continuing education.
- Conduct research on diseases and treatment methods to improve animal health care.
**Skills Required**:
- **Medical Knowledge**: Profound understanding of animal anatomy, diseases, pharmacology, surgery, and diagnostics.
- **Communication Skills**: Ability to communicate effectively with pet owners, staff, and other healthcare professionals.

**Educational Qualifications**
- **Bachelor's Degree**: A pre-veterinary or science-related degree (e.g., biology, animal science) is typically required before entering veterinary school.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
