Infection Control Nurse

**Position Summary**: The Infection Control Nurse will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring infection prevention and control programs to ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This role involves assessing and managing infection risks, educating healthcare staff, and ensuring compliance with health regulations and hospital policies.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Infection Prevention and Control**:
- Develop and implement infection control policies and procedures in accordance with current regulations and best practices.
- Conduct regular surveillance of infections within the hospital and identify trends or outbreaks.
- Ensure proper sterilization and disinfection practices are followed across all departments.
- **Education and Training**:
- Provide training and education to healthcare staff on infection control practices, protocols, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Develop and deliver educational materials and programs to enhance staff knowledge and compliance.
- **Compliance and Monitoring**:
- Monitor and evaluate adherence to infection control policies and procedures.
- Perform regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Report and investigate infection-related incidents, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- **Risk Management**:
- Identify potential infection risks and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to manage and control infection outbreaks.
- Assist in the preparation and review of infection control-related policies and procedures.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:
- Maintain accurate records of infection control activities, including surveillance data, training records, and incident reports.
- Prepare and present reports on infection control metrics, trends, and performance to hospital management.
- **Collaboration**:
- Work closely with other departments, including microbiology, nursing, and administrative staff, to support infection control efforts.
- Participate in infection control committees and contribute to hospital-wide initiatives.

Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹54,712.49 per month
