**Introduction**:
The role holder will be responsible for managing various Invoice Forensic activities for generating saves for the bank and manage process improvement/change management projects. Act as risk and control management expert to strengthen internal process controls and develop strategies to prevent future risk within P2P framework. Perform validation of supplier statement of accounts to identify recoveries and to proactively work with the stakeholders to conduct root causes analysis to identify process gaps causing revenue leakages. To independently drive recovery of outstanding credits, rebates, overpayments and duplicate payments from the supplier.
What will you be doing?
- Essential experience of end to end Purchase to Pay (P2P) process and systems, especially in the area of Accounts Payable domain and invoice forensic activities.
- Lead Change Management for Invoice Forensics in terms of identification of Opportunity, qualitative and quantitative materialization of Benefits, Testing, Defect Management and monitor sustainability of change post go-live
- Experience in review, validation and reconciliation of statement of account and expertise in the recovery of outstandings from the suppliers. Identify and prioritise opportunities for improvement to streamline the interal process and minimise supplier outstanding recoveries in future
- Exposure to supplier contracts review, rigorous invoice scrutiny and invoice payment analysis to validate with the commercial terms in a contract
- Knowledge of Withholdting tax compliance process to review supplier invoices and coordination with tax teams to manage review conclusion and resolve issues
- Ability to create quality reports and dashboards for presentation to leadership teams
**What we’re looking for**:
- Good Communication skill both written and verbal
- Experience of procurement Systems including SAP, Coupa and added advantage of other tools within Operations team
- Proficiency in Advanced MS Excel, MS power point and MS Word skills. Effective mailbox management
- Excellent Analytical skills with the ability to deep dive into data/systems and to conduct thorough accounting review. Eye for detail with logical problem solving skills
- Required to provide detailed analysis and information on complex queries/problems and should be able to provide solutions/recommendations
- Well organised and able to prioritise tasks, using judgement to manage/escalate issues
- Good interpersonal/stakeholder management skills and ability to interact at all levels
- Develops effective peer and working relationships within/across teams
- Ability to assimilate new information and quickly adapt to new environment/new role
- Well verse with Barclay’s Risk and Controls framework.
- Aware of Procurement Controls requirements & RCSA
- Understands SOX & NON-SOX controls applicable to procurement processes.
- Experience of supporting internal & external audits
- Transactional understanding on e2e Procurement Ops Process.
- Knowledge of Procurement Service Model, IGA SLAs and their governance mechanism.
- Gratuate or higher degree in Business / Finance or equivalent practical experience
**Skills that will help you in the role**:
- Excellent accounting skills and extensive experience of end to end Accounts Payable Process
- 3-4 years relevant experience in Accounts Payable, P2P processes and systems
- A passion for adding value to the business through the production of sound analyses and recommendations
- Knowledge and understanding of the financial services industry
