- Global Medical Affairs, GBS (GMA GBS) is an extension of the Global Medical Affairs unit in Headquarters (HQ) in Denmark and is based out of Global Business Services (GBS), Bangalore, India. One of the team within GMA-GBS is Medical Affairs department including a sub-team for marketed insulins and obesity portfolio. The team consists of highly motivated and experienced global medical advisors who are medical doctors/specialists cross-functionally working with global teams and medical affairs director areas based at HQ (Copenhagen, Denmark). This team is responsible for planning and executing the medical affairs strategy and actions for products accountable by GMA-GBS (marketed insulins and liraglutide 3.0 mg) and supporting the medical affairs strategic actions for the GLP-1 obesity portfolio, currently managed by teams at Copenhagen, Denmark.**The Position**
- Global Medical Writer is responsible to perform medical content development tasks for all scientific activities including trial and non-trial information in Global Medical Affairs unit. Performs medical writing tasks in collaboration with IO-SO and across regions. Contribution to knowledge sharing and good collaboration with stakeholders and colleagues world-wide. Participate in internal/external marketing/medical activities, e.g., expert meetings, lectures and conferences. Contribute to ongoing improvements in cross-functional and global collaboration and sharing of better practices and knowledge.**Medical writing tasks**:

- End-to-end ownership of abstract/manuscript development.
- Develop outline of manuscripts based on authors’ inputs and extensive literature search.
- To liaise with internal and external authors to develop and submit the manuscripts.
- Perform a literature search and prepare the summary of systematic literature search.

**Publication planning tasks**:

- Support in developing scientific publications such as attending author group call, preparing minutes, target journal/congress selection, performing dummy submissions with congress and journal websites, preparing encore congress presentations, performing data QC and editorial check, and writing abstracts.- Develop the publication proposals in line with the standard NN template.
- To liaise with internal stakeholders to prepare extensive publication plan for the NN trial(s).
- Manage the Datavision tool as required for a medical writer (Monitor for author comments/congress deadlines).

**Support with Medical education (MedEd) deliverables**:

- Support in developing the content for advisory boards/webinars/scientific expert meetings/consultancy meetings.
- Attend the KO call with speakers, understand the flow of the content discuss the resource material and develop the content slides inline NN templates.
- Prepare executive meeting report of all key scientific events.

**Qualifications**
- Should possess Postgraduate (M Pharm/MSc; PharmD or equivalent).
- 3-4 years of relevant publication writing experience.
- Experience from the pharmaceutical /CRO industry.
- Experience working within a global setting.
- Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good scientific acumen and articulation skills.
- Attention to details.
- Team player.
