Job Summary:
- The Psychologist in IVF provides psychological support to patients undergoing fertility treatment, including in vitro fertilization, intrauterine insemination, and other related procedures.
- They help. patients manage the emotional and psychological challenges that come with fertility treatments, including anxiety, stress, depression, and grief.
- The Psychologist in IVF works in collaboration.
- with the fertility team, providing counselling and support to patients, as well as assessing the mental health of patients and identifying any concerns that may need to be addressed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide counselling and psychological support to patients undergoing fertility treatments, including in vitro fertilization, intrauterine insemination, and other related procedures.
- Assess the mental health of patients and identify any concerns that may need to be addressed. before or during fertility treatments Provide guidance to patients on coping strategies and stress management techniques to help them manage the emotional and psychological challenges of fertility treatments.
- Work closely with the fertility team to develop treatment plans that take into account the patient's mental health and well-being.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses, to provide a comprehensive approach to patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and always ensure patient confidentiality.
- Stay up to date with the latest research and developments in the field of fertility psychology and integrate this knowledge into patient care and counselling services.
- Participate in team meetings and attend conferences and other professional development. opportunities as required
- Experience providing counselling and psychological support to patients undergoing fertility treatments.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to empathize with patients and provide guidance and support.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess patient needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
