**HSE Officer Job Description Template**

We are looking to employ a qualified and competent HSE officer who will be responsible for the health and safety of staff in the workplace. The HSE officer will compile safety programs and standardize them to remain consistent, as well as share best practice techniques at regular staff meetings.

To ensure success as a safety officer, you must stay updated with the latest trends in health and safety, and consistently implement these practices in the workplace. Ultimately, a top-notch safety officer will maintain compliance with all safety regulations and ensure that every member of staff complies with the regulated standards.

**HSE Officer Responsibilities**:

- Formulation of Safety Manual and Procedures
- Preparation and implementation of safety management plan.
- Preparation of Emergency Response Plan (On-site emergency plan)
- Preparation of safety training modules
- Training Plan, training needs identification for safety and conducting training program
- Safety Induction training for new joiners
- Sound knowledge of ISO 45001:2018, EMS 14001:2015.
- Organizing of Safety committee meeting for staff and workers.
- Carry out daily safety inspection, permit checking and LOTOTO.
- Inspection of PPES Compliance.
- Incident investigation and learning share with all team to ensure zero injury targets.
- To plan and implement proactive actions for improving the safety of emplcyces and assets to realize target of zero accident and emergencies.
- To ensure fast response in case of an injury laccident towards medical assistance and treatment followed by investigation, corrective actions and their inplementation.
- Develop systems for safe operation such as -Standard Safe Practices, work permit systems, Inspection Schedules, Safety Audits, use of suitable PPE's etc and implement them.
- Implement an effective ongoing system in collaboration with sections and safety committee for continuous identification of unsafe conditions and their Correction
- Maintain a system of useful communication to employees about their own and section safety performance to motivate them for improvement.
- Inculcate Safcty Culture in usage of PPE's in plant for all employees and visitors
- To erre that all legal provisions of Factory Act and other Rules.
- Sound knowledge of environment legal monitoring.
- Compile safety programs.
- Practice safe working techniques.
- Implement and maintain health and safety standards.
- Establish a cordial and professional relationship with employees.
- Maintain compliance with all safety regulations.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to share best practice techniques.
- Standardize health and safety in order to remain consistent.
- Identify hazardous waste and disposing of it correctly.
- Promote safety initiatives.
- Compile and maintain relevant registers to ensure compliance.
- Document staff information, minutes of meetings, and reports compiled for management.
- Regularly inspect equipment.

**HSE Officer Requirements**:

- A bachelor’s degree or an associate degree.
- Valid competency certificates.
- Registration as a Health and Safety Officer.
- Strong communication skills.
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in this position.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Applications.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
