Introduction:
This is a FBP role (end to end) supporting Senior FBPs in managing cost base and delivering the end to end financials across a Transaction Cycle /Function by working closely with Business Managers and multiple functions.

What will you be doing?
- Ensure month end landing of cost with appropriate controls in place, and review /analyse the variances.
- Presenting monthly MI with insights and commentary to function’s FBP leads and Business Managers
- Manage and planning and outlook process including tracking and highlighting Risk & Opportunities
- Supporting multiple TCs /Services & facing off to the business managers
- High quality, consistent and standardised offering with complete ownership of the “numbers”

What will you be doing?

Cost Review, Analytics and Ledger Closure
- Flash Reporting - Review and analysis of Flash Results, Issuance of Flash reports to Senior FBP / BMs, by Account line/Cost Centre reviews
- Cost Accruals & Prepayments - Review of expense and accruals and liaise with Accounting Operations to ensure posting of accruals, prepayments and expense re class & Adequate substantiation of accruals and prepayments,
- Global Cost Review and Analytics - Cost Analysis by account line / cost centres during month end process
- Balance Sheet Reconciliation - Substantiation of all accruals and prepayments posted by the accounting team
- Control pack submission, self-assessment of controls

Planning and Outlook
- Manage transfer, planning and outlook process liaising with Senior FBPs and BMs
- Prepare planning, outlook templates and related management information for review with BMs/FBPs
- Monitoring and highlighting the risk and opportunities
- Support Group and Central teams on the overall MTP/STP exercise

Management Reporting and Insights
- Lead performance review within the Finance FTCs, analysing, provide insights, commentary and interpreting financial information, and advising/challenging and supporting the team leaders in improving the financial control and reporting environment.
- Resolve queries and ad-hoc requests by BMs / FBPs / PMs
- Review and analyse complex financial reports and financial statements analysis and present the same to the management.
- Produce accurate, timely and reliable MI reports
- Drive the rationalization, standardization, centralization and control of all MI reports within the suite
- Update and improve reports (in line with business objectives) focusing on scalability, efficiency and effectiveness

Liaise with Functions / BMs and Central teams on reporting hierarchy creation and changes
- Liaise with various teams to ensure changes are reflected in the Finance hierarchy systems

Projects / Transformation
- Provide active support in executing Cost Transformation Projects within Cost FTC

Hierarchy & Reference data management
- Good understanding of Barclays systems and cost landscape, data flows, ledger interfaces
- Ability to analyse and visualize end reporting requirements into structural changes in reference data systems for strategic implementation
- Track record of completing business analysis assignments (business requirements gathering & testing)
- Proficiency on reference data management tools like DRM, RDM, Sap Static, BW, databases

What we’re looking for:

- CA / MBA and good accounting knowledge
- Strong analytical skills, able to identify key P&L drivers
- FP&A background and experience (experience in direct costs, indirect cost management and reporting) an advantage
