Lab Technician

**Job Title: Lab Technician**

**Location: Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu**

**Experience: 3-5 years**

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform blood collection from patients using appropriate techniques and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Conduct various laboratory tests including but not limited to hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, and immunology tests.
- Prepare microbiology media following established protocols and ensure the sterility and quality of media.
- Report culture findings accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to laboratory protocols and standards.
- Perform immunology assays and analyze results, maintaining accuracy and precision in testing procedures.
- Conduct biochemistry analysis including enzyme assays, protein quantification, and other biochemical tests as required.
- Perform clinical pathology testing including urine analysis, stool analysis, and other diagnostic tests.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including but not limited to centrifuges, microscopes, analyzers, and incubators.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal functioning.
- Maintain accurate records of tests conducted, results obtained, and other relevant data in accordance with laboratory protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols in the laboratory at all times.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of reagents, consumables, and other supplies.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience working as a Lab Technician in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Proven experience in blood collection, lab testing, microbiology media preparation, culture reporting, immunology, biochemistry analysis, and clinical pathology testing.
- Strong understanding of laboratory equipment operation and maintenance.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and protocols.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
