**Job Summary**:
The Assistant Professor in Special Education will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and research in the field of Special Education. The individual will also engage in student mentoring, curriculum development, and contribute to the department's academic and research activities in line with the university’s mission and vision.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Teaching & Instruction**:

- Deliver lectures, seminars, and practical sessions in the areas related to Special Education.
- Prepare course materials, lesson plans, and assignments as per the curriculum.
- Facilitate student learning through interactive methods, including case studies, project work, and field visits.
- Conduct regular assessments, provide feedback, and assist students in their academic progress.
- **Research & Development**:

- Actively engage in research activities in the field of Special Education.
- Publish research papers in peer-reviewed journals and present at national/international conferences.
- Collaborate with faculty members on research projects, especially those that contribute to advancing inclusive education.
- **Curriculum Development**:

- Contribute to the design and revision of curriculum for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Special Education.
- Ensure that the curriculum meets the latest developments in the field and is aligned with GGSIPU norms.
- **Student Mentoring & Support**:

- Advise and mentor students on academic and professional development.
- Provide guidance on projects, internships, and research activities.
- Address student queries and foster a supportive learning environment.
- **Administrative Responsibilities**:

- Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and other administrative functions.
- Assist in organizing workshops, seminars, and conferences related to Special Education.
- Contribute to institutional development and initiatives related to inclusive education.
- **Community Engagement**:

- Engage with special education professionals, organizations, and stakeholders to promote the university’s initiatives.
- Establish partnerships with schools, NGOs, and governmental organizations focused on disability and inclusive education.

**Required Qualifications**:

- **Educational Qualifications**:

- Master’s Degree in Special Education or a related field (M.Ed./M.A. in Special Education, Rehabilitation, or Disability Studies).
- Ph.D. in Special Education or a closely related area is preferred (or in the process of being completed).
- NET (National Eligibility Test) qualification, or equivalent as per GGSIPU norms (or Ph.D. for direct eligibility as per UGC guidelines).
- **Experience**:

- Minimum 2-3 years of teaching experience in Special Education or a related field in a recognized academic institution.
- Experience in curriculum design, research, and mentoring students in the field of Special Education.
- **Skills & Competencies**:

- Strong knowledge of special education techniques, strategies, and tools.
- Familiarity with contemporary issues in special needs education, inclusive education, and disability rights.
- Ability to use educational technology and online platforms for teaching and research.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay: ₹29,405.08 - ₹120,664.93 per month
