Furniture Designer

1) Designs furniture for manufacture, according to knowledge of design trends, offerings of competition, production costs, capability of production facilities, and characteristics of company's market.
2) Good Knowledge of **Auto Cad.**
3) Hands on experience in **Italian modern** furniture.
4) Traces drawing on material for use in production of blueprints, using drawing instruments.
5) Prepares or directs preparation of blueprints containing manufacturing specifications, such as dimensions, kind of wood, and upholstery fabrics to be used in manufacturing article.
6) May design and prepare detailed drawings of jigs, fixtures, forms, or tools required to be used in production.
7) May plan modifications for completed furniture to conform to changes in design trends and increase customer acceptance.
8) study, research and plan various styles of furniture design

**Job Expectations**:
1) find ways to improve furniture items already manufactured
2) stay informed about design trends and developments
3) generate sample designs using computer-aided design (CAD), card models, sketches or hard prototypes.
4) use software packages such as AutoCAD, and Photoshop
prepare detailed final designs.
