Mother Teacher

"Mother teacher" might have different interpretations depending on the context in the Foundation Stage (ages 3-8). Here are two possibilities:
**1. A motherly female who is also a Foundation Stage teacher**:

- This refers to a woman who plays the dual role of both a parent and a teacher for children in the Foundational Stage.
- She might teach her own child or other children at a preschool, kindergarten, or primary school and stays with her class to teach Mathematics, English and EVS.
- Mother teachers face unique challenges and rewards, taking the holistic development of the child into consideration.
- She builds rapport with her students and forms a homely bond, teaching in an activity based method.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree teaching qualification for Mother Teachers from Class 1 and above.
- NTT degree for Kindergarten classes.
- Apart from fluent English, knowledge of spoken Kannada is preferable as the area is north Karnataka.
- Knowledge or certification on Phonics, Abacus, Vedic Maths etc would be given preference.
