MYSQL DBA

**About the Role**

**Duration**: 6 Month

**Location**: Remote (Location - it’s like once a month in office (as per requirement) and rest is remote, office location - Noida) **Timings**:Full Time (As per company timings)**Notice Period**: within 15 days or immediate joiner**Experience**:6-8 Years

**Must have skills**:

- **SQL, MySQL Database Services, Other Database technologies (NoSQL, MongoDB or PostgreSQL etc.), MySQL Storage engines such as InnoDB / MyISAM etc, ETL Tool, Unix Shell Scripting,**

**Responsibilities**:

- Provision MySQL instances, both in clustered and non-clustered configurations. 2. Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases
- Prepare documentations and specifications
- Handle common database procedures, such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
- Profile server resource usage, optimize and tweak as necessary
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

**Requirements**:

- Experience with data modeling in relational databases and writing complex SQL queries.
- ETL / data migration experience with large data sets.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related IT field preferred.
- Unix shell scripting and the ability to automate routine tasks.
- Understanding of MySQL’s underlying storage engines, such as InnoDB and MyISAM.
- Knowledge of de-facto standards and best practices in MySQL.
- Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL statements.
- Experience with replication configuration in MySQL.
- Must be ready to support environments remotely while on on-call.
- Ability to plan resource requirements from high level specifications.
- Experience with ETL tools and data warehouse concepts is a plus.
- Experience with Percona for MySQL Server.
- Experience with MySQL Backup tools and Monitoring tools.
- Experience with Reporting/Visualization tools is a plus.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 18. Passion for learning and staying current with new technologies and methodologies.
