Job Description:
As a Chinese Chef, you will play a crucial role in creating authentic and delectable Chinese cuisine for our restaurant's patrons. Your culinary expertise and creative flair will contribute to the overall dining experience, ensuring the highest quality of dishes that reflect the rich flavors and traditions of Chinese cuisine. You will work closely with the kitchen team to maintain the standards of our restaurant, and your skills will be pivotal in delighting our guests with memorable culinary creations.

**Responsibilities**:
Menu Development:Contribute to the creation and development of the Chinese menu, introducing innovative dishes while maintaining authenticity.

Food Preparation and Cooking:Prepare and cook a variety of Chinese dishes, ensuring adherence to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
Expertly handle woks, steamers, and other specialized Chinese cooking equipment.
Monitor and manage the quality and consistency of dishes served.

Ingredient Sourcing:Collaborate with suppliers to source fresh, high-quality ingredients required for Chinese dishes.
Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients to maintain freshness and food safety.

Culinary Creativity:Bring creativity to the kitchen by introducing new and unique dishes while respecting traditional Chinese culinary techniques.

Kitchen Leadership:Lead and supervise kitchen staff in food preparation, ensuring teamwork, communication, and efficient workflow.
Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen assistants in Chinese cooking techniques.

Quality Control:Regularly taste and evaluate dishes to ensure they meet the restaurant's standards for taste, appearance, and authenticity.

Health and Safety:Adhere to all safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling of food, equipment, and personal hygiene.
Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.

Menu Specials and Seasonal Offerings:Develop and present seasonal Chinese specials or festival-themed menus to entice customers with unique dining experiences.

Collaboration:Collaborate with front-of-house staff to provide insights about Chinese dishes, ingredients, and cultural aspects for customer interactions.

Cost Management:Efficiently manage food costs by minimizing wastage and ensuring proper portion control.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Chinese Chef, preferably in a high-quality restaurant setting.
- In-depth knowledge of traditional and modern Chinese cuisine, cooking techniques, and ingredients.
- Creative and innovative approach to menu development and presentation.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining culinary standards.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Culinary degree or relevant culinary certifications are a plus.

**Salary**: ₹8,086.00 - ₹38,240.07 per month

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Night shift
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

**Education**:

- Diploma (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Chef: 1 year (preferred)
- Chinese: 1 year (preferred)
