We are excited to welcome a motivated and creative Fashion Design Intern to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our production team, contributing to various aspects of the design process for our activewear line. From creating designs to drafting technical specifications and researching trends, this internship offers hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of fashion design. Plus, you'll be part of a growing start-up, where your contributions can make a significant impact.

**Responsibilities:Design Creation**:

- Generate innovative and on-trend designs for our required activewear category, considering market trends, brand identity, and target audience.
- Develop sketches and digital renderings to visualize design concepts, incorporating feedback from the production team.

**Technical Specification Drafting**:

- Draft technical specifications and garment construction details for new designs, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Create and update tech packs with detailed information on materials, measurements, and construction methods.

**Pattern Making**:

- Develop patterns, translate the design concepts into precise patterns that ensure proper fit and functionality.
- Participate in fitting sessions, providing support to the production team by taking notes, making adjustments to garments, and ensuring proper fit and functionality.

**Trend Research**:

- Research activewear fashion trends, materials, colours, and silhouettes to inform design decisions and stay ahead of the curve.
- Compile trend boards and presentations to share insights with the design team and assist in the development of seasonal collections.

**Collaboration and Communication**:

- Work closely with the production team to brainstorm ideas, develop concepts, and execute designs that align with brand vision and objectives.

**Qualifications**:

- Recently completed a degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Clo-3D and InDesign.
- Strong sketching and illustration skills, with a keen eye for detail and proportion.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for fashion and a desire to learn and grow in the industry.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.

**Qualifications**:

- Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a Fashion Design program or related field.
- Strong proficiency in pattern-making and garment construction techniques, particularly in the context of activewear.
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other design software.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a passion for innovative design.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
