Language Coordinator

**Must work onsite in India, the final hire can be based in New Delhi or Bengaluru or Hyderabad**
- Coordinates translation, interpretation, and production projects assigned to internal and external resources
- Reviews and approves translation, interpretation, and production work completed by internal and external resources
- Provides translation and interpretation services, and other duties assigned by Production Resource Manager
- Engages with external translation and interpretation providers for the purpose of onboarding, training, and relationship management
- Native speaker of either Tamil or Hindi is required
- Fluency in, and/or general familiarity with, any of the other Church publishing languages in India is a plus
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in linguistics, translation, or a related field), with at least 3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in translation and interpretation
- Expertise in translation and skills in writing, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and syntax of either Hindi or Tamil (including written language for use in voice-over script translation)
- Strong language interpretation skills; simultaneous interpretation experience is strongly preferred
- Proven skills in project management, time management, interpersonal communication, problem solving and the ability to work under pressure
- Good understanding of Church doctrine, terms, policies, and ecclesiastical organization.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with operating systems and Microsoft Office
- Basic knowledge of graphic design, media production and language recording is a plus
- Ability to navigate through translation and business management tools, CAT tools, and web interfaces
- Functional use of spoken and written English
