**USAID PRERANA PROJECT**
**Job Description: Block Coordinator**
**Location: Meghalaya (Any District)**
**Reports to**: Project Officer
PRERANA Project aims to foster and promote innovative solutions for improving youth, adolescents and women’s health including sexual and reproductive health through information and empowerment by showcasing project initiatives in 8 NE States. The position will play a key role in supporting the successful implementation of a project aimed at fostering vibrant, engaged, supportive, and resilient communities.
**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Support the Project Officer in engaging youth, women, and vulnerable groups to empower them in decision-making around family planning, reproductive and sexual health.
2. Liaise with government officials, local leaders and population to foster support for the project’s objectives and create an enabling environment for community-wide behaviour change.
3. Support the Project Officer in organizing workshops, training sessions, and advocacy events to build the capacity of community members, particularly women and youth, to advocate for family planning, sexual and reproductive rights.
4. Facilitate the distribution of IEC materials and campaigns to promote voluntary use of family planning, reproductive and sexual health services.
5. Support the project Officer in project implementation as planned for the State and/or District.
6. Maintain strong relationships with government agencies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and local community groups to ensure coordinated efforts.
7. Ensure compliance with all legal, financial, and operational guidelines for project implementation.
8. Support the Project Officer in documentation of project activities, monthly and quarterly reports on project updates and maintain the project MIS for the stakeholders and events covered under project.
9. Any tasks assigned by the PRERANA partners and supervisor or the State/ District Government body in alignment with the project
**Qualifications**
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in coordination, engagement, planning and mobilisation.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively.
5. Fluency in English and relevant local languages preferred.
Remuneration will be at par with market standards and will be based on experience and qualifications
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
