**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Clinical Support:_
- Assist dentists during dental procedures by handing instruments and materials as needed.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring proper setup.
- Take and process dental X-rays following safety guidelines.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Ensure patient comfort and address any concerns during visits.
- Mix and prepare dental materials such as cements, impressions, and fillings.
- Perform chairside assistance for procedures like fillings, extractions, crowns, and root canals.
- Administrative Duties:_
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental calendar.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment details.
- Coordinate with insurance companies for billing and claims processing.
- Manage inventory and order dental supplies as needed.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA) preferred.
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, and sterilization techniques.
- Familiarity with dental software systems (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Basic understanding of dental terminology and anatomy.

**Work Environment**:

- Dental office or clinic setting.
- Interaction with patients and dental team throughout the day.
- Use of protective equipment and adherence to infection control protocols.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Certification in radiology or X-ray technology.
- CPR and first aid certification.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.
