Bodyshop Advisor

An automotive body advisor's responsibilities include:

- Advising customers on appropriate service and repair requirements
- Liaising with insurance companies for motor claims
- Providing estimates for insurance claims
- Monitoring job progress and updating customers on repair status
- Inspecting all vehicles for body work
- Informing customers if work is needed
- Providing an estimate for body work
- Developing estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor

Other responsibilities may include:

- Maintaining high customer satisfaction standards
- Handling telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process
- Attending to the needs of the customer's professionally and quickly
- Studying vehicle repair history
- Informing superior of any abnormalities or repeated complaint
- Ensuring vehicle cleanliness through use of vehicle protection materials

Qualifications for a service advisor may include:

- 1-2 years automotive experience
- Knowledge of automotive service terms
- Basic computer skills
- Strong communication skills
