Accessory Designer

**Responsibilities**:
Design Conceptualization: Generate original design concepts for vegan leather handbags that reflect our brand's vision, aesthetics, and target market. Develop sketches, mood boards, and visual presentations to effectively communicate design ideas.

Material Selection: Research and source high-quality vegan leather materials that meet our sustainability standards and align with design requirements. Consider factors such as durability, texture, color, and eco-friendliness.

Trend Research: Stay up to date with the latest fashion trends, vegan leather innovations, and sustainable practices within the accessory industry. Incorporate these trends into your designs to create relevant and appealing handbag collections.

Sketching and Technical Drawings: Create detailed handbag sketches and technical drawings that illustrate design elements, dimensions, construction details, and hardware specifications. Use design software and CAD tools to produce accurate and professional design documentation.

Prototyping and Sample Development: Collaborate with the product development team to oversee the creation of prototypes and samples based on design specifications. Provide feedback and guidance throughout the sampling process to ensure quality and design integrity.

Sustainable Design Practices: Incorporate sustainable design principles and practices into the handbag development process. Consider aspects such as waste reduction, recyclability, ethical sourcing, and environmentally friendly manufacturing methods.

Collection Presentation: Prepare and present design concepts, sketches, and technical specifications for collection presentations. Clearly communicate the design vision, materials, and sustainability features of each handbag.

Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks during the production process to ensure that the final handbags meet design specifications, standards, and brand expectations.

Industry Awareness: Stay informed about industry regulations, emerging vegan leather technologies, sustainable fashion movements, and best practices related to accessory design.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as an Accessory Designer, preferably with a focus on handbags or accessories made from vegan leather.
- Strong artistic and design skills with a keen eye for fashion, trends, and detail.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and CAD tools.
- Excellent sketching and visualization abilities to effectively communicate design concepts.
- In-depth knowledge of vegan leather materials, including their properties, characteristics, and sourcing options.
- Familiarity with sustainable design practices and a passion for ethical and eco-friendly fashion.
- Solid understanding of handbag construction techniques, hardware selection, and production processes.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in design specifications.
- Degree in Fashion Design, Accessory Design, or a related field (preferred but not required).
