Agriculturist

**Responsibilities**:

- Plan and manage agricultural operations, including crop cultivation, livestock management, and land preparation, to ensure optimal productivity and profitability.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify innovative farming techniques, crop varieties, and livestock breeds suitable for local conditions.
- Develop and implement farm management plans, considering factors such as crop rotation, irrigation methods, pest and disease control, and soil fertility.
- Monitor and evaluate crop and livestock performance, identifying issues and implementing corrective actions to maximize yields and minimize losses.
- Collaborate with agricultural experts, agronomists, and consultants to obtain specialized knowledge and guidance on advanced farming practices.
- Provide guidance and support to farm workers, conducting training programs to enhance their skills and knowledge in agricultural techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of farming activities, including crop yields, livestock inventory, expenses, and sales, for reporting and analysis purposes.
- Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and government regulations related to agriculture, implementing necessary adjustments to optimize farming operations.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as suppliers, government agencies, and research institutions, to foster partnerships and access resources for farm development and expansion.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in agricultural management, preferably in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of crop cultivation, livestock management, soil science, irrigation techniques, pest and disease control, and sustainable farming practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Proficient in using agricultural software, equipment, and tools for farm management and data analysis.
- Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations and environmental sustainability practices.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and the ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to work outdoors and in physically demanding conditions as required.
