**Job Description: Safety Officer**
**Position Overview**:
The Safety Officer is responsible for implementing safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and providing training to employees to maintain a safe work environment.
**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Develop and Implement Safety Policies: Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures in accordance with company standards.
2. Conduct Risk Assessments: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace.
3. Safety Inspections: Conduct routine safety inspections of the workplace, equipment, and machinery to ensure compliance with safety standards.
4. Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and prevent recurrence. Prepare detailed incident reports and recommend corrective measures to prevent future incidents.
5. Safety Training: Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees on topics such as hazard identification, emergency response, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, and safety protocols.
6. Emergency Response Planning: Develop emergency response plans and procedures for various scenarios, including fire, chemical spills, and medical emergencies. Coordinate drills and training exercises to ensure preparedness.
7. Safety Compliance: Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations. Maintain records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incident reports as required by regulatory agencies.
8. Safety Culture Promotion: Promote a strong safety culture within the organization by encouraging employee participation, recognizing safety achievements, and fostering open communication about safety concerns.
9. Safety Committee Participation: Serve as a member of the safety committee and actively participate in safety meetings. Collaborate with management and employees to address safety issues and implement safety initiatives.
10. Expert in crafting of Monthly, Weekly Reports along with Presentations of Activities.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety preferred.
- Proven experience working as a safety officer or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and standards (OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, etc.).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power point, excel, Outlook etc.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
