Transcription - Japanese

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Transcribe audio/video content** from Japanese to Japanese text (both standard Japanese and regional dialects may be involved).
- Ensure **accuracy** and **clarity** in the transcription, including correct grammar, punctuation, and formatting.
- Deliver transcriptions within set deadlines, meeting the required quality standards.
- Work with various types of media, including interviews, meetings, podcasts, lectures, business discussions, etc.
- Edit and proofread transcriptions to ensure consistency and high-quality output.
- Communicate with the project manager or client for any clarifications or questions regarding the project.

**Requirements**:

- **Fluency in Japanese** (both written and spoken).
- Strong understanding of **Japanese grammar**, vocabulary, and cultural nuances.
- Experience with transcription software or tools (e.g., **Express Scribe**, **oTranscribe**, or other transcription platforms) is a plus.
- Excellent **listening** and **typing** skills (typing speed of [X] words per minute or higher).
- **Attention to detail** and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Prior experience in transcription or related field is an advantage.
- **Knowledge of formatting** for different types of transcription (verbatim, clean read, timestamped, etc.).
- Ability to transcribe difficult or fast-paced speech, multiple speakers, and various audio qualities.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Familiarity with **business or technical terminology** (depending on the type of transcription, e.g., legal, medical, or corporate).
- Experience in transcribing **interviews, podcasts, lectures, or media content**.
- Knowledge of **multiple Japanese dialects** is a plus.
