Akanksha also partners with 250+ balwadis and government schools in Nagpur and Pimpri Chinchwad to drive city-level system change by strengthening public schools.

3) **Experiential**: Creating short projects that students will do and showcase to build key 21st century skills.

**About Team**:
The Akanksha Schools aim to be high-quality schools serving children from low-income communities in Mumbai, Pune & Nagpur. These schools work in partnership with local municipalities, with the vision of creating small clusters of model schools in these cities that can be used to impact the mainstream education system. The School Team comprises teachers, social workers, school administrator and helpers led by the School Leader.

**About role**:
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- **Teach your content**: 60%**:

- Design personalized annual, unit, and weekly plans, as well as lesson plans, tailored to meet the individual needs and interests of kindergarten students.
- Implement a play-based approach to teaching that fosters active engagement and exploration.
- Utilize pedagogical strategies aligned with the school's vision to ensure learning is personal, relevant, and experiential.
- Keep daily records of student artifacts through worksheets and other learning activities to track progress and adapt instruction accordingly.
- Conduct regular assessments to monitor student learning, analyze data, and make informed instructional decisions.
- Use data effectively to modify instruction and pedagogical approaches to cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Collaborate closely with parents through regular meetings to ensure their active involvement in their child's learning journey.
- **Leading projects in school: 30%**:

- Work with the School Principal and Vice Principal to lead multiple projects essential to student learning (based on your talents), such as Annual Day, Sports Day, Hobby Clubs, etc.
- Use these opportunities to strengthen your leadership skills, and mentor newer teachers
- **School Culture (10%)**:

- Contribute to creating a strong culture of staff that translates into a high-functioning team.
- Holding spaces of interest for students and staff to build an inclusive community.
- Co-designing and owning pieces of staff training/upskilling to upskill the team and self.

**Minimum Skills and Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree with strong academic and holistic performance.
- Bachelor's in Education (B.Ed.) degree or a Diploma in Education with strong academic and holistic performance.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in teaching kindergarten students.
- Proficiency in Gsuite such as google sheet, google docs, google slides.
- Proficient in English
