**Position Title**: Debt Recovery Agent
**Department**: Collections
**Reports to**: Collections Manager

**Job Summary**:
The Debt Recovery Agent is responsible for managing and recovering overdue accounts. The role involves communicating with debtors, negotiating repayment plans, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts. The agent will work closely with the collections team to achieve departmental goals and maintain positive client relationships.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Debt Collection**:

- Utilize various methods to locate and contact debtors.
- Develop and implement strategies to recover outstanding debts.
- **Account Management**:

- Maintain accurate records of debtor communications and payment plans.
- Monitor and follow up on accounts to ensure timely payments.
- Update and manage debtor information in the company database.
- **Negotiation and Settlement**:

- Negotiate repayment plans and settlement offers that are feasible for debtors and beneficial for the company.
- Work with debtors to create realistic and achievable payment schedules.
- Handle disputes and queries from debtors in a professional manner.
- **Compliance and Reporting**:

- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Prepare regular reports on collection activities, payment status, and recovery progress.
- Escalate complex cases to senior management or legal team as necessary.
- **Customer Service**:

- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining firm and clear communication with debtors.
- Educate debtors on the importance of maintaining good credit standing and financial management.
- **Team Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with the collections team to share best practices and strategies.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in finance, accounting, or related fields are a plus.
- Proven experience in debt collection, customer service, or a related field.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to handle difficult conversations and remain calm under pressure.
- Proficiency in using debt collection software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing debt collection.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Pay: ₹8,204.54 - ₹25,000.00 per month

Schedule:
