**Associate, Federal Tax - Passthrough Entity Emphasis**

Alvarez & Marsal’s Federal Tax team is composed of seasoned tax professionals experienced in providing tax compliance and consulting services to passthrough and corporate clients. Our Passthrough Entity professionals have significant experience primarily supporting PE-backed companies organized as flow-through entities throughout their business lifecycle.

**What will you be doing?**

As an Associate within Federal Tax, you will:

- Assist with the tax compliance process for partners' estimates, extensions and annual compliance filings for pass through entities
- Assist in research and analysis of a wide variety of tax issues
- Participate in potential tax-planning and consulting projects for corporate clients
- Assist with creating deliverables that are concise, complete and address the elements deemed critical by the client
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and clearly communicate work plan, project objectives, and timelines
- Build internal relationships with other members of the Federal Tax team

**Qualification**:

- Chartered Accountant or MBA in Business Administration
- 1-3 year of experience in tax compliance and consulting experience in public accounting or professional services (Big 4 experience preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to establish credibility and influence clients
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Experience with all Microsoft Office products (with an emphasis on Excel) and research software
- Experience with GoSystem Tax RS and OneSource preferred
- Ability to simultaneously work on several projects and effectively manage deadlines
- High motivation to learn and grow
