**Job Summary**:
The Accounts Assistant is a crucial role within the accounting department of an organization. With a minimum of 1 year of experience and proficiency in using Tally software, the Accounts Assistant is responsible for performing various accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial records, and assisting with financial analysis. This position requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of accounting principles, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Managing and maintaining financial records using Tally software, including data entry, invoicing, and updating accounts payable and receivable.
- Assisting in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and documentation.
- Performing bank reconciliations and resolving any discrepancies.
- Assisting with the processing of invoices, payments, and expense claims.
- Assisting in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Conducting regular audits of financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Assisting in the analysis of financial data and preparation of financial reports.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and accurate financial reporting.
- Assisting in the maintenance of financial databases, systems, and files, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Staying updated on changes in accounting regulations, standards, and best practices to ensure compliance.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting role, preferably as an Accounts Assistant or a similar position.
- Proficiency in using Tally software is essential.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and other relevant accounting software.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and financial record keeping.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ethical behavior and ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred, but not always required.
