- 1. Sets the technical direction and product experience vision of the team in line with clear goals and rationales
- 2. Operates as an SME within own field of expertise, providing advanced expertise in all aspects of end-to-end experience design, including using storyboards, journey maps, flow diagrams, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
- 3. Oversees the delivery of world class digital-first experiences that achieve commercial goals such as increased digital channel share and have clear commercial impact in line with global-first practices, accessibility, and inclusive principles
- 4. Collaborates with other roles including product owners, researchers, content designers, service designers and engineers to contribute to high-level strategic decisions, as well as envision and execute impactful product experiences globally
- 5. Leads large scale, complex design activities, taking a lead in a strategically important area and executing on an experience, a product line and/or many products
- 6. Leads design workshops and sprints with cross-functional teams to explore innovative solutions for problems and opportunities identified through research and data
- 7. Leads the implementation of continuous improvement opportunities to improve the design team processes, such as through exploration of new design tools
- 8. Mentors and coaches experienced professionals to develop current and future team capabilities and ensure performance
