**Job description**
- Conduct comprehensive inspections and use advanced diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical and electrical problems in vehicles. This includes analyzing error codes, conducting visual inspections, and listening to customers' descriptions of issues.
- Perform skilled mechanical and technical repairs on vehicles, such as engine overhauls, transmission repairs, brake system maintenance, suspension repairs, and electrical system troubleshooting.
- Replace faulty or worn-out components, such as spark plugs, belts, filters, batteries, and sensors, following manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
- Perform routine fluid changes (oil, coolant, transmission fluid, etc.) and lubricate moving parts to ensure optimal vehicle performance and longevity.
- Conduct wheel alignments and tire replacements to maintain proper vehicle handling and safety.
- Test repaired vehicles to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance.
- Interact with customers to discuss vehicle issues, explain repairs, and provide maintenance recommendations.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, parts used, and services provided using computerized systems or manual logs.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working with various automotive tools, machinery, and hazardous materials.
- Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies, tools, and repair techniques by attending training sessions and workshops.
- Keep all tools and equipment in good working condition and report any malfunctioning tools to management.
- Ensure that all repairs and services are performed to high-quality standards, meeting manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.

Skills and Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in automotive technology is advantageous.
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or related field.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, engines, transmissions, electrical components, and modern vehicle technologies.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, equipment, and computerized systems.
- Skilled in troubleshooting and problem-solving mechanical and technical issues.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Physical dexterity and strength to handle heavy equipment and work in various positions (standing, bending, kneeling) for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in repair work.
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues effectively.
- Knowledge of safety guidelines and willingness to adhere to them at all times.
- Time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet repair deadlines.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (if required).

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Pune, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (required)
