**Overview**:
We are seeking a dedicated Compliance Officer to oversee all statutory and regulatory compliance matters within our organization. The incumbent will play a crucial role in minimizing compliance-related risks and enhancing strong governance practices. As the designated compliance officer, you will lead our compliance program, ensuring alignment with industry standards, laws, and regulations. You will also be responsible for monitoring and interpreting evolving regulatory requirements, conducting risk assessments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to address compliance concerns.

**Responsibilities**:
**1. Compliance Program Leadership**:

- Develop, implement, and maintain an effective compliance framework aligned with industry standards, laws, and regulations.
- Create policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate compliance risks across various business functions.
- Conduct compliance testing and annual assessments to ensure sustained compliance.

**2. Regulatory and Statutory Adherence**:

- Monitor and interpret evolving regulatory requirements relevant to the rental eCommerce industry.
- Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance-related matters.
- Report promptly to the CEO and management about any major changes or observations related to compliance risk.

**3. Risk Assessment and Mitigation**:

- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential compliance vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address compliance concerns and implement corrective measures.
- Assist audit teams in identifying areas of non-compliance and initiating solutions.

**4. Reporting and Communicating**:

- Apprise the board and senior management on regulations, rules, standards, and any further developments.
- Prepare and present comprehensive compliance reports to executive leadership/board and regulatory bodies.
- Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, external auditors, and legal advisors.

**5. Secretariat Function**:

- Manage administrative aspects of corporate governance, including coordinating board meetings and ensuring compliance with company acts.
- Maintain records and facilitate communication between the board and management.
- Provide advice, assist in regulatory filings, and contribute to policy development aligned with industry standards.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- CS (Company Secretary) with compliance focus, LLB (Bachelor of Laws) degree would be advantageous.
- 6 to 8 years of progressive experience in a compliance leading role with exposure to multi-state indirect taxes, direct taxes, TDS, multi-state labor, commercial, general, customer trademark, and secretarial compliances.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience of relevant laws, regulations, and compliance best practices.
- Experience liaising with compliance experts across various domains.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and an eye for process improvements.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful compliance programs in high-growth environments.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex situations and make sound decisions.
- Ability to work under high-pressure situations, manage multiple transactions concurrently and engage with internal and external stakeholders effectively.

Pay: ₹3,000,000.00 - ₹4,000,000.00 per year
