**Position**:Student Support Officer

**Shift**:Monday to Saturday, 5:00am to 2:00pm IST

**Location**:Remote

**Role and Responsibilities**:
As a Student Support Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being and success of our students. Your primary responsibilities will include:

- **Academic Guidance**: Provide personalized academic support to students, including course selection, study planning, and goal setting to enhance their academic performance.
- **Emotional Support**: Offer empathetic and confidential assistance to students facing personal or emotional challenges, referring them to appropriate resources when necessary.
- **Student Advocacy**: Serve as an advocate for students, ensuring their concerns and needs are effectively communicated to faculty and administration for prompt resolution.
- **Orientation and Onboarding**: Facilitate student orientation programs to familiarize new students with campus facilities, resources, and academic expectations.
- **Coordination of Support Services**: Collaborate with various departments to coordinate tutoring, mentoring, and other support services to meet the diverse needs of students.
- **Maintain Records**: Accurately document student interactions, progress, and other relevant information to track support provided and identify areas for improvement.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in providing support services in an educational or similar setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, faculty, and staff.
- Excellent communication and active listening skills.
- Empathetic and compassionate approach towards students' challenges and concerns.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Organizational and time-management skills to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Familiarity with academic advising and student counseling techniques.
- Proficiency in using computer software and educational technology.
