**About the Role**:
**Grade Level (for internal use)**: 05
Apprentice, Data Science
**Team**: You will join the Data Science and Modelling team of the Commodity Insights Division, which is responsible for developing and managing comprehensive AI/ML/statistical solutions for various commodities markets. This team operates from several global offices, including those in India, Singapore, Mexico, and the US. Joining this global team will allow you to collaborate, innovate, and enhance your domain and technical knowledge across multiple AI disciplines.
**Impact**: In this role, you will support AI/ML initiatives within the Data Science and Modelling team. This position offers an opportunity to work on structured and unstructured data analysis and quantitative modeling to solve original and complex business problems efficiently and insightfully. You will gain valuable skills and experience in the rapidly evolving business research industry.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop pipelines for data transformation.
- Build quantitative models using Python
- Collaborate with colleagues on innovative projects within commodity markets.
- Create visualizations and user interfaces using data visualization tools and libraries like Plotly and Streamlit.
- Work closely with senior team members to understand project requirements and deliverables, actively participating in team meetings and discussions.
- Conduct quality checks on data using internal tools and resolve any data defects.
- Be a self-starter with a strong motivation to learn.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) or bachelor’s degree in computer science /IT with specialization in Data Science. (Graduating year 2023 OR 2024 only)
- Proficiency in coding with Python.
- Knowledge of data engineering, machine learning/AI, and optimization techniques.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office, with expertise in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
