**Draughtsman (Supermarket and Warehouse Floor Layouts)**

**Location**: India

**Company Overview**:
The Draughtsman will work closely with the sales team, project managers, and other team members to develop detailed floor layouts for supermarkets and warehouses. This role involves using CAD software to produce accurate drawings and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure that design requirements are met. Additionally, the Draughtsman will be responsible for preparing Bills of Quantities to estimate project costs and quantities of materials required.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Floor Layout Design**:

- Develop floor layouts for supermarkets and warehouses based on project requirements and architectural drawings.
- Incorporate elements such as shelving, storage racks, display units, checkout counters, and aisle spacing into the design.
- **CAD Drafting**:

- Use AutoCAD to create detailed drawings and plans for floor layouts, including elevations and sections.
- Produce accurate 2D and 3D drawings that reflect the intended design and spatial arrangements.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:

- Liaise with architects, designers, engineers, and project managers to understand project requirements and coordinate design efforts.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to clarify design concepts, address feedback, and incorporate changes as needed.
- **Bills of Quantities (BOQ)**:

- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for supermarket and warehouse projects, detailing the quantities and specifications of furniture (racking, shelving)
- Estimate project costs based on BOQs, taking into account factors such as material prices, labor costs, and project timelines.
- **Quality Assurance**:

- Review drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards and guidelines.
- Conduct quality checks at various stages of the design process to identify and resolve discrepancies or errors.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- Proven experience (3-5 years) as a Draughtsman, preferably in the retail or construction industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD or similar tools.
- Strong technical drafting skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
