Mechanical Draftsperson

1. Creating detailed drawings and plans based on specifications provided by engineers or designers.

2. Using computer-aided design (CAD) software to develop 2D and 3D drawings of mechanical components and systems.

3. Collaborating with engineers and other team members to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings.

4. Incorporating design changes and updates into existing drawings as needed.

5. Reviewing and interpreting technical documents, sketches, and specifications to create accurate drawings.

6. Ensuring that drawings comply with industry standards, regulations, and project requirements.

7. Providing support during the manufacturing and assembly process by clarifying design details and addressing any issues that arise.

8. Maintaining organized files and documentation of all drawings and revisions.

9. To convert drawings into BOM and BOQ for cross department jobs like procurement analysis.

In addition to technical skills in drafting and CAD software, a mechanical draftsperson should have strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to interpret technical information are also important for success in this role.
